SNC Proposition 1 Grant Program

The Initial Studies and Proposed Mitigated Negative Declarations (IS/MND) for seven projects which the SNC is considering funding or supporting are now available for public review. Documentation and instructions for public comment can be found here. A public hearing on the proposed projects is scheduled during the SNC Governing Board meeting that will begin at 9 a.m. on June 7, 2018, at the Cerro Coso Community College Eastern Sierra Campus, 4090 W. Line Street, Bishop, CA  93514.

proposition 1 grant program (fy 2017-18 and fy 2018-19)

Proposition 1, passed by California voters in 2014, allocated $25 million to the Sierra Nevada Conservancy for multi-benefit projects that protect and restore watershed health in the Sierra Nevada.

SNC's Proposition 1 Grant Program supports forest health projects that result in multiple watershed benefits. Please read the Grant Guidelines for a complete description of Grant Program requirements.
